HSE has held its post-graduate humanities summer school 'History in the First Person: From Antiquity to Our Time'. The summer school was dedicated to texts written or recorded in the first person, as well as to various methods for analysing them. The school’s organizers and participants spoke with the HSE news service about what ego texts are, how representatives of different disciplines work with them, and how French methodology differs from Russian.
Russian Summer School in Information Retrieval
The Russian Summer School in Information Retrieval (RuSSIR 2015) is taking place from August 24 th – 28 th , 2015, in the new university building on Kantemirovskaya. On August 24-26 the post-graduate humanities summer school 'History in the First Person: From Antiquity to Our Time' will be held at HSE. The event is organized by HSE Faculty of Humanities, the Centre of Franco-Russian Research in Moscow, the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (Paris), and Eastern Studies Research Group of Strasbourg University.

'HSE Is the Best Place for Work on Issues in International Relations'
HSE has held the 5th International Relations Russia-China Summer School 'Eurasia 2020: Prospects for cooperation.' The school has been held since 2011 by the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs jointly with the East China Normal University (Shanghai, China). This year it was held with support from the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund. This is the only summer school of this kind held in Russia.
The Book Market, Finance and Reasons for Self-Medication: What People are Studying at the Summer School on Institutional Analysis
In the Moscow Region, the ninth Russian Summer School on Institutional Analysis (RSSIA) was held recently, bringing together 26 young researchers from Italy, Montenegro, the Philippines, Macedonia, Great Britain, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Russia. During the programme, they addressed problems concerning the economics of education, financial institutions, the public sector, and the theory of industrial markets.
